The movement

From the back of the shop to the front of the line.

This is not a class you take. It’s a room of owners who decided to stop being the system their business runs on.

Somebody is about to move us to the back. Again.

Every time something new shows up, the same thing happens. The big companies get it first. The consultants get paid to explain it. And the people who actually build the neighborhood — the shop, the truck, the chair, the kitchen — get it last, secondhand, and priced like a favor.

Not this time. The tools are sitting right there, they cost almost nothing, and nobody needs anyone’s permission to use them.

We are not waiting to be included in this one.

What we believe

Who’s in it

Owners with people on payroll who are still the one answering the phone. Contractors, HVAC, plumbing, auto shops, salons, med spas, dental and chiropractic practices, staffing, home health, childcare, trucking, restaurant groups, real estate teams.

If you’ve got employees and you’re still the one answering the phone, you’re one of us.

What joining actually means

Nothing to sign and nothing to believe. You show up on a Thursday at eleven, you watch somebody’s real bottleneck get built into a working tool in front of you, and you decide whether you want yours built too.

Then you bring somebody. That’s the whole membership.

This is happening with or without you. You might as well kick back and enjoy the ride.

About that float

I put a unicorn in my pool to make fun of myself. It’s the fantasy that the business runs itself while you lie back — and for nineteen years I was out there floating, calling it working.

Here’s the turn, though. The float isn’t the lie. The float is the whole point. Resting is not the reward for exhaustion, it’s what a working business gives back to you. I can rest on Sunday because the system worked Monday.

You just don’t get to float first. You build the thing that floats you, and then you kick back — and that’s not avoidance with excellent posture. That’s the ride.
